Our latest 48-hour Survivor Advocate training has come to a close, and with that, a new group of advocates are joining a movement dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence. A special thanks to Elena Strasser from W.O.M.A.N., Inc. and Jenny McKenzie from The Riley Center for working together to facilitate a quality training for staff, volunteers, therapy trainees and community members. We are also extremely grateful to our community partners who give their time and energy to this training process: staff and volunteers from The Riley Center and W.O.M.A.N., Inc., Beverly Upton, Hediana Udarti, Kemi Mustapha, Jimi Gilroy, Emberly Cross, Tara Berta, Zephira Derblich-Milea, Jee Suthamwanthanee, and Jamie Cox. We couldn’t do this without you!
And a congrats and welcome to the folks graduating and joining this important work: Brendan, Mei, Stephanie, Anna, Emi, Lauren, Lisa, Ylem, Martha, Ashley and Kate. Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication!
