Surviving and Thriving 2013

surviving_thriving_2013We’re excited to be associated with the 4th annual Surviving and Thriving event.  This year it’s dedicated to ‘Celebrating Phenomenal Women’ that we all have in our lives.  Here’s a bit more of the details.

Date: Thursday, November 14, 2013, 5:30pm-9pm
Location: 111 Minna Gallery, 111 Minna @ 2nd Street, San Francisco

You and your guests are invited to an unforgettable evening of art, cocktails & music in honor the Phenomenal women in our lives and the men that love them!

Think of a woman who has inspired you, supported you, empowered you. These are the women who are honored and celebrated at the fourth annual Surviving & Thriving: Celebrating Phenomenal Women

Founded in 2010, Surviving & Thriving is dedicated to raising awareness and education, bringing together Bay Area artists, business owners and individuals committed to changing the landscape surrounding violence against women. All proceeds benefit W.O.M.A.N., Inc. (Women Organized to Make Abuse Nonexistent) & SFWAR (San Francisco Women Against Rape) –  two remarkable San Francisco-based nonprofit organizations that provide invaluable support to women survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in our community.

We all have women in our lives who have inspired us, supported us, and empowered us. And one in four of these women will have experienced domestic violence or sexual assault in their lifetime. The journey from survivor to thriver is one full of courage, strength, beauty and grace – and is one to be honored and celebrated. As Maya Angelou shared, ‘Surviving is important; Thriving is elegant.’
