Support W.O.M.A.N., Inc. this DV Awareness Month!

For the 4th year, we’ll be participating in the Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge, an annual fundraising challenge supporting domestic violence organizations across the nation.  Throughout Domestic Violence Awareness Month, participants help us engage in bonus challenges and fundraising goals to bring in vital funds for our services.

Will you join the challenge this year? Here are some ways you can help:

  1. Join our team as a fundraiser! It takes less than 3 minutes to set up a fundraising page on Crowdrise. Then share the link with your networks. If just 10 of us are able to raise $50, that’s $500 right there! Not only will you be helping us sustain our services, you’ll be in the running to take home the Purple Purse designed by Serena Williams.
  2. Donate! On October 2nd, the platform opens up for donations. Every donation makes a difference, no matter how big or small.
  3. Spread the word! We understand fundraising takes time, donating takes money and that not all of us have the capacity for that.

In 2017, we had 13 board members, staff members, and volunteers join our W.O.M.A.N.,

PPC 2017 results.PNGInc. fundraising team. The collective effort of our fundraisers and donors brought in nearly $7,000 from the Purple Purse Challenge. In addition to that, we won Bonus Challenge prizes amounting to $600! Altogether, this challenge brought in over $3 million to domestic violence organizations across the U.S.  We truly couldn’t make this happen without the support of the community.

All money raised goes straight back to our programs and services that support survivors, their friends and family 24/7. To learn more about the work you are supporting, please visit our website at www.womaninc.org.
